Need help for print spooler error 2

Hi i have a hp deskjet d1660, my OS on my desktop is microsoft xp, I bought this printer a few months back, new, installed it and all worked well, but about a month ago, i was scanning my files for viruses, long story short, i think i may have deleted my spoolsv.exe file thinking it was a virus. i have tried to reinstall my printer but i keep receiving the message error 2 the system cannot find the file. I have been to computer management / services , my remote procedure call is working and is on start, i have a emachines model T5048 2005, i have tried a system restore but does not work, is there any way to get this file back? Please and thank you
